Good intensity of aromas here, with surprising notes of embers, coals and toasted brown bread. The palate has good concentration and shows a warmth of lemon fruit, alongside a mouth-puckering acidity. It feels youthful, like it has the potential to expand and relax. It could well be worth buying a few bottles and opening them in six months to a year, to see how this develops. It's tightly wound, taut and energetic, with just 5g/L dosage. Long finish. As usual for Tesco, it's made for the supermarket by the Union Champagne cooperative.
