This 100% Viognier is from schist soils at 250m altitude, and it's showing a wonderfully zappy, electric side of the often-opulent variety. It's still got its plump peach fruit and ripeness, but as it's harvested quite early, it leans more into freshly sliced grapefruit and citrus zest, with a good line of cool mineral tension. A really successful white that will still please Viognier fans and might attract lovers of fresh Alpine whites like those from Savoie.
