Domaine Cambis, Rock de Carignane, St-Chinian Berlou, Languedoc, France 2021

These old Carignan vines high up in the Berlou hills have produced a more herbal wine in this vintage, with strong notes of garrigue emerging alongside the smoked meat, bramble, liquorice and berries. There's even a little animal, funky nature to it, bloody and rocky, complex and serious.
