Famille Fabre, L'Orangerie du Luc, Languedoc, 2022

A nose full of deep dark fruit, a dense thicket of bramble and dark chocolate, blackberry, black olive and a hint of roasted meat and herbs coming through. It feels distinctly Languedocien, with its herb-laced fruit, its sun-ripened blackberries and its warmth and amplitude. The tannins are fine, and the texture is silky, and I like the lightly bitter dark chocolate and wild thyme note on the finish.
