A touch closed at first, but the palate shows coffee-tinged raspberry fruit and chocolate-coated cranberries, with subtle notes of dried thyme too. There's bright acidity, a medium body and a lightness of touch. The tannins are present but starting to soften. 70% aged in French oak barrels for two years.
