Reuilly is a small appellation in the Centre Loire (288ha compared to Sancerre's 3,007ha) which focuses on Sauvignon Blanc, although Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are also grown. This example is made by Nathalie Lafond, the daughter of Claude Lafond (an important player in the region) after which the domaine is named. Its aromas are fresh and green, with elderflower, gooseberry and lemon the dominant characters. Tingling and slightly green acidity makes for a mouthwatering sip, with a lightweight finish. It's simple, but easy to drink and would work well as an aperitif.
