Domaine St Ferréol, Grande Réserve Viognier, 2017

Released after several years’ ageing in bottle, a fleshy, weighty Viognier, with flavours of white peach and pear, and fresh acidity to balance. A hint of bitterness adds to the complexity. Lacks the mid-palate concentration of Condrieu but there is finesse here, which is a real surprise for an IGP Viognier from the far South.
