What a bouquet! Violets and rose petals soar out, followed by sweet candied blueberries and crushed blackberries. There’s even a slightly caramelised, honeyed richness underneath. The palate is ripe and appealing, though the dusty tannins and a hint of alcohol give it a slightly nervy edge. A touch stemmy too – blackcurrant leaf flickering through the finish. Northern Rhône Syrah at only 12.5%, great refreshment.
