Owned by the Brunel family of Chateau de la Gardine, the hand-harvested grapes for this wine are grown at 300m on sandy limestone soils. The wine spends 12 months in French oak barriques of second or third use. The lightly spicy, toasty element is well integrated into the dark berry fruits on the medium-bodied palate, full of freshness and vibrancy with fine, tight tannins and precise acidity. It has a fairly long finish and is perfectly balanced - a classic Lirac.
