Brunote comes from hand-harvested vines grown on white clay soils. All the varieties are co-fermented - making the Mourvèdre 'less animal and more fruity', according to Denis. It's aged for 18 months in concrete, then six months in bottle before release. It's medium-bodied, with good concentration, juice and ripeness from the violet, blueberry and blackberry. There's piercing acidity and a fairly long, mineral finish.
