Really deep and intense in aroma, bringing up images of hot tarmac and old leather, even some leather polish. The fruit is certainly there though, especially blackberries and cherries. Then the palate is hugely flavoursome, almost overpowering in how much flavour comes from one sip. There's also surging acidity, and a ferrous touch to the finish. Incredibly silky and light footed.
