An intriguing blend of blackcurrant fruit, woody herbs and subtle coal smoke. Very round, but not terribly dense or extracted. The vibrant acidity does help to detract from the high alcohol. This has a good sense of purity, and the tannins are grippy and powerful but smooth. The oak is well-integrated. One to drink into the medium-term.
