There is good depth and interest to the aromas here, with damson alongside some subtle resin notes. Full-bodied and powerful on the palate, the lush, fleshy plum fruit continues into the long finish. There is ample balancing acidity and tight, fine tannin on the finish. It's a wine that feels more gently steered to its final state rather than micro-managed; it's not overly polished and retains some texture and detail.
