Wine has been made in Georgia for many thousands of years, but you may not necessarily have tried any Georgian wine. Here is a good place to start, as this is one of the more approachable styles. Its subtle lemon and verbena aromas are delicate, while the palate shows pear and apple skin. It has a textural mouthfeel that leaves a chalky, tingling sensation and finishes with a touch of bitter lemon rind. Made from three indigenous Georgian grape varieties - Tsitska, Tsolikouri and Krakhuna - this is a good entry point into Georgian wines. Member exclusive at £16.99.
