Shilda, Rustaveli Kisi Qvevri, Kakheti, Georgia 2020

The Kisi grapes are sourced from the producer's old vine vineyards. Amber in colour, it has a candied nose of toffee apple, banana skin, citrus blossom and quince. Ripe yellow fruits follow to the palate, with zesty orange peel, dried apricot and apple peel bitterness, but not lack of freshness. The tannins are grippy and structured, with warming sweet spices on the back palate.
