It's great to see orange wines becoming more mainstream in UK supermarkets; and worth trying at this price if you haven't tasted one before. Qvevri wines are particularly special as they mature for several months in amphora-like clay jars buried in the earth, giving them a dry, raspy tannin structure like stewed tea – and, in this 100% Rkatsiteli, fleshed out by spiced orchard fruit.
