A complex nose of petrol, juicy peach and citrus, salted green apple and lime on the attack, which opens up to layers of beeswax, honey, dried apricot to provide depth. A hint of residual sugar balances the steely acidity backbone, leading to a long, citrus peel finish. The 'Monopol' is a blend of the prestigious south-facing Herrenberg and Abtsberg vineyards, both fully owned by the Schubert family. An excellent wine offering great value at around £20.
