The Wine Society, Exhibition Riesling, Rheingau, Germany 2018

Based in Hochheim, Gunter Künstler is one of the Rheingau's top winemakers and this is a super dry Riesling at a great price. Pure-fruited and moreish, the overt aromas of peach, white blossom and lemon curd continue on the crisp palate, joined by yellow apples, nectarines, and a mouthwatering steely tang. Richer than a Mosel Riesling, this would stand up well to exotic curries or a more homely roast pork.
