This wine is a classic Bordeaux blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, and is the first of the Matatia series to be made since 2008. It has a nose of smoke, blackberry and cherry fruits with sweet liquorice, coffee and bitter powdered chocolate notes, lifted by fresh mints and a hint of wet earth, complex and graceful. It's full and structured on the palate with thick layers of fruits and masculine tannins. Mocha coffee and dark chocolate notes follow all the way to the lingering finish. This is a majestic wine and still have years to reveal its full potential.
