The vineyards of the small Yatir winery are planted in the southern end of Judean Hills and close to the Negev desserts. This 100% Syrah is sourced from vineyards between 680 - 820 meters above sea level in Yatir Forest. It has a savoury nose of wild game, crushed flint and smoked bacon, in addition to dark cherries and blackberries undertone. The umami notes follow to the palates with savoury meats, black peppers, prunes and dark cherry fruits, lifted by good level of acidity and supported by a good tannin backbone. This wine was aged in old and neutral barrels for a year, followed by longer bottle aging.
