Gavi is always a lovely wine to drink in the spring, and this example has a balanced mouthful of honeydew melon, apple and subtle hazelnut, held together by some fresh acidity. A great way to wean yourself off the heavier whites of the winter months in preparation for the crisper summer styles!

This isn't the most complex of whites, but is a decent, characterful drop for a great price that will find lots of fans. There's a nice weight of stone fruit and gentle tropical flavours, enlivened by a subtle nuttiness and fresh acidity. One for baked white fish or ratatouille.
