This village Barolo is a new addition (as of the 2019 vintage) to Damilano’s already extensive portfolio. It takes its backbone from south-facing vineyards in the MGA of Baudana. It is charming in its exuberance and vigour. Animated scents of dried mint, sage and smoky black tea meet preserved cherry and red plum on the palate. There is the slightest hint of creosote. Tannins are sweet, supple and confident in grip. Robust but deftly balanced and complete; it has a lot to offer.
