Le Strette is the reference for the lesser-known Bergera-Pezzole MGA in Novello. With a southeast exposure and cool heights reaching 420m, it yields a powerful Barolo. Combines richness of fruit with an austerity of structure. Cedar, forest floor, mushroom and balsamic herbs all emerge boldly from the glass. This is sumptuous and layered with dense, spicy cherry. Violet and roasted coffee add dimension, while a saline note lifts. Those tannins though are still vertical, dry and unrelenting. Needs more time.
