This well known estate is based in Canale, and the style is usually graceful and fresh. However, in this vintage the Roero has more weight than usual. The lifted cherry nose is smoky and pungent, and it's full-bodied and concentrated, with emphatic fruit and ripe tannins. It's powerful and long without being heavy-handed or extracted.
