Morrisons, The Best Barbera d'Asti, Piedmont, Italy 2018

Candied cherry, raspberry with a hint of roasted coffee and raisin on the nose. Aged in a combination of large Slavonian oak barrels (Botti) and French oak barriques for 12 months, the palate is rather soft with sweet red and dark fruits, balanced by 5.7g/l of acidity, followed by a warming finish of cherry liqueur.
