Upgraded to a village Barolo with the 2021 vintage, this La Morra ambassador blends plots in Brandini, Rivalta and Serradenari with grapes that don’t make it into the Rocche dell'Annunziata bottling. Limpid and vivid, it rings out with raspberry, pepper and sarsaparilla. Midweight but effortlessly light on its feet, the palate is juicy and brightly lit through a core of red berry coulis. Fine, powdery tannins are elegantly dispersed all over the mouth. While this simply begs drinking, the sneaky structure should carry it for a decade. An absolute charmer.
