There is subtle understatement in the berry fruit and violets, but their scents linger for an eternity. The tight tannic weave and underlying salty acidity give the palate a nervy intensity, and a very long, concentrated finish. A great vintage, interpreted in the house style of this historic estate; restrained, classical, refined, a little austere – but very rewarding.
