Fermented in stainless steel and matured partly in cement tanks and partly in barriques for the best balance of freshness and complexity, this Etna Rosso from the northern slopes focuses on creamy, aromatic red fruits with a touch of dustiness and spice. Really fine-grained tannins support ripe wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry and pomegranate fruits, with a balsamic note followed by a subtle hint of black pepper. A fresh expression with typical Etna mineral mid-palate tanginess. 'In my opinion we feel the territory in our mouths,' head winemaker Barbara Tamburini confirms.
