Arnione is a blend of approximately 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, with smaller portions of Merlot and Petit Verdot. Ripe blackcurrant and minty, herbal aromas pull you in and are mirrored on the palate. There's plenty of mint and balsamic herb notes to complement the cool black fruit profile. It's intense and also quite vertical, with fresh, zippy acidity and some structural tannins. Although it spends 24 months in the bottle before release, the underlying chocolatey wood character needs further time to integrate.
