A developing nose of black tea, baked earth and tar is age appropriate. Cedar wood suffuses the soft, red fruit palate as it glides fluently to the sweet herb finish. A delightful crispness of acidity lingers. Lamberto highlights a generous crop in 2004. Despite repeated thinning, yields for Luce reached 35hl/ha compared to an average of 30hl/ha. Nonetheless, this isn’t lacking in density and has aged quite gracefully.
