The 2009 Luce wears the warmth of the vintage on its sleeve. Evolving but not tired, dried blueberry, sandalwood and wet earth waft from the glass. Nutmeg- and vanilla-infused cherry and macerated plum expand on the plush, velvety palate. Broad and rich with soft acidity, this aims to seduce and is giving its maximum pleasure now, but the hefty 15.5% alcohol is evident.
