Instantly darker in the glass than the Cassero, but again, it isn't shy. It's grippy, almost tannic, with apricot and orange peel, then herbal spices coming through with a Viognier florality giving the wine lift. It's full-bodied with a slightly hot finish, but the balance of acidity and alcohol feels much more level here. The finish is subtle and long. I'm a big fan.
