A perennial great value pick, this unoaked annata hails from one of the region’s historic estates located in the northwestern corner of Chianti Classico. It wears the warmth of this pocket and the 2021 vintage on its sleeve. Clean, smart and intense, the nose shows vibrant black raspberry adorned by Mediterranean shrub and fennel. It is plush and even a bit plump, but just when you think it needs a bit more support, bright acidity and gentle chalky tannins kick in.
