In the warm vintages such as 2007 international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot help in the blend, even if indigenous ones could increase the freshness. This 2007 is restrained, with a slightly low-key nose of cherry and cassis, earthy tones and tobacco which come back on the finish alongside game flavours. Full and velvety and fresh, it shows muscular tannins, resulting in a finish that tastes a bit over extracted.
