On the southern edge of the town of Montepulciano, Le Caggiole is located in the historic heart of the zone, prized as far back as Etruscan and Roman times. The Tiberini family have owned the property since 1962. Inviting aromas of pepper, black raspberry and a seductive earthiness lead into a palate with a touch of the vintage's coarseness and heat in the background, but ripe, generous fruit keeps it in check for now.
