Veronese

This blend of 40% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella and 5% Sangiovese incorporates some appassimento juice, which is added into the main blend to trigger a second fermentation – not too dissimilar to the ripasso method. The wine demonstrates a sweet and spicy red and black berry character, ripe and crunchy with petrichor and earth notes on the finish. It has a nice, round body and it makes for a versatile red.
