The Kurambon winery was founded in 1913, its name originating from a Japanese fairytale about Yamanashi. Fermented in barrel with natural yeast, aged in oak, then bottled unfiltered, this ‘N Koshu' (N stands for natural) is a more weighty and complex expression of the Japanese variety. Oak vanilla, sweet spices and a hint of popcorn appear on the nose,. Vivid acidity (6.5g/l), herbal spices and white pepper refresh the concentrated palate of vanilla, lime and apple. Long and rounded, with lovely buttery texture on the finish.
