Ixsir, Altitudes Red, Batroun, Lebanon, 2012

(at Decanter's Mediterranean & Balkans Fine Wine Encounter, 12 May 2017)
Drinking Window: 2017 - 2019
Grown at an altitude of around 1,000 metres, this red blend has a slightly grippy plum and sweet spice palate, with a soft finish of honeyed red fruit. The altitude has helped to retain the acidity, so there is a lovely freshness.
