Winemaker Faouzi Issa has some pretty high flying estates on his resumé, including working at Château Margaux and Domaine René Rostaing, so it's hardly surprising that this wine is a cracker. It's brimming with ripe plums, cranberries and cherries with an edge of blackcurrant leaf. Mocha and cocoa nibs lend this a sumptuous, sexy feel. The complexity continues to unfold in layers of charred wood, tomato stem, dried figs and bramble. The overall structure is rich and full, with furry, soft, fine tannins. For £22.99, this is a belter, snap it up now for a great value Christmas dinner wine, or a match for an earthy autumnal weekend feast. Some stores are still selling this 2015, but others have moved on to the 2017, including the online shop.
