The bouquet shows change and challenges in the vintage. A deeper more savoury bouquet of hay and dried tobacco, dried berries and plums, old violets, fallen leaves and tea. Flavours of berries and olives, hay and stony earth qualities – integrated, earthy, balanced and ready, with dried fruits, some dried cocoa and coffee bean hints. There is a moment or two of primary fruit as well. Tannins are firm and chalky with a fine polish about them, and the acidity is still securing some freshness delivering on mouthfeel as well. Delicious!
