Smith & Sheth, Cru Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand, 2022

There's a flinty reduction to the green-fruited aromas here, a sense of smoke and brimstone followed by fresh green apple, gooseberry and lime. Great concentration and a very long, stony finish, there's a real finesse here. A step up from the Yealands Sauvignon Blanc also sold at Tesco, but in a different style, lean and restrained.
