Paddy Borthwick, Riesling, Wairarapa, New Zealand, 2014

90
Tasted by: Christelle Guibert
Drinking Window: 2016 - 2025
From a sheep and cattle farming family, Paddy Borthwick had viticultural ambitions and went on to study oenology in Australia. After gaining experience at wineries around the world, he returned home in 1996 and made his first vintage in 1999. His abilities are evident, with this wine displaying good varietal character, refreshing and zesty. It is fresh and elegant with a delightful tangy kick of lime. Light, clean and enjoyable.
