The label proudly declares that this wine - a three-grape blend based on Touriga Nacional - is finished in Port barrels. It has rich scents of jammy red and black fruits, followed by sticky flavours of stewed plums, baked strawberries and some raisins. There is indeed some barrel influence in its chocolatey finish, and an underlying richness of flavour that can perhaps be attributed to the barrels' former inhabitant.
