Taking its name from the cedar tree on the terrace of the quinta, Cedro is Noval's second label for its table wines. A blend of 50% Touriga Nacional and 25% Syrah with 20% Touriga Francesca and 5% Tinta Cão, which spends 11 months in French oak. Aromas of black and red berries, sprinkled with white and black pepper, with a savoury undertone and some floral notes too. Spicy palate, with good freshness, elegant black fruit, hints of plums and chocolate, plus ripe tannins, and a long and precise finish.
