This joint venture between UK importer Portuguese Story and André Gomes Pereira of Quinta do Montalto traces old vineyards at risk of abandonment (condemned) and helps the owners to bring them back into production. From 120- to 150-year-old field blends planted to red and white varieties, this has a rustic classicism, with fragrant petrichor, sage and tobacco providing a bed for prune, fig and black olive, outlined by bergamot notes.
