Father and son Franc and Borut run this family winery in Brda, the western Slovenian region that is effectively an extension of Collio in Friuli. Rebula, or Ribolla Gialla, is the star local grape and here renders a rugged, intriguing wine full of earthy, musky, orange rind complexity. Rich, full and complex with underlying freshness and minerality. Voluminous and heart-warming: a white with the soul of a red.
