Sweet pear, apple and limes are cut with a racy acidity. It's undeniably mineral, and so energetic it practically vibrates in the glass. Good density of green-apple, lemon-lime tanginess, and plenty of fruit at a moderate alcohol. From the thirsty old bush vines rooted in the desert soils of Vredendal, Ian Naude has brought to bottle two of the Cape’s most prolific varieties, Chenin from a vineyard planted in 1988, the Colombar, 1985.
