Glenwood, Grand Duc, Franschhoek, South Africa, 2014

80
Tasted by: Tim Atkin MW, John Hoskins MW, Greg Sherwood MW
(at Decanter's April 2017 issue South African Chardonnay over £7.99 Tasting, 30 Nov 2016)
Drinking Window: 2017 - 2018
Lifted, intense aromas of sour plum, polished vinyl and greengage. Toasty oak dominates the nose and palate, with marzipan, toast and a lick of crème bruléed oak that slightly overwhelms the wine. Strangely oily and developed for a two year old.
