A relatively new release to add to the established line-up of wines from Bentomiz, high up in the Axarquía, east of Málaga city. Clara Verheij’s intention has been to capture the youthful joy of newly harvested Moscatel and Pedro Ximénez. PiXel may have just four months on the lees, but it is full of character. Classic Moscatel aromatic charm on the nose, with citrus, jasmine and pear. In the mouth it’s crisp with a definite mineral note. Good value.
