Smart blend of Palomino (85%) from Pago Balbaina and Arinto (from Pago Miraflores, propagated from cuttings brought from Bucelas), foot-trodden and co-fermented, with stems. the result is a textural and layered wine, with vertical precision offset by moreish oiliness. Alluring nose of gentle florality, with chamomile, linden and apple blossom hover over thyme and rosemary oil. A flinty edge adds edgy nuance. Fleshy quince, red apple and nectarine shape the fruit core, speckled with chopped walnuts and hazelnuts. Long finish with a spicy tail of white pepper and nutmeg.
